Summer Conference Clinicians:

   Rodney Eichenberger, former  Professor of Choral Music and Conductor of the Chamber Choir at  
  Florida State University continues to maintain a busy professional schedule elsewhere. He has
 
conducted more than 75 US All State Choirs and guest conducted or lectured at  more than 85 US,
  Australian, and New Zealand Universities. Recent international appearances include guest
  conducting the Pusan,  Korea City Choir, and Korean National Chorus in Seoul, International High
  School Honor Choirs in Tokyo and Berlin and leading conducting workshops in

   Argentina, Brazil, France, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, Austria, Korea, Australia, and New  Zealand.  
 
His instructional videos on Choral  Conducting,” What They See Is What You Get,” published by
  Hinshaw Music and  “Enhancing Musicality Through Movement,” Santa Barbara Press, are widely used
  in collegiate conducting classes. A graduate of St.  Olaf College with advanced study at the
  Universities of Denver,  Washington and Iowa, he taught at the  University of Washington and the
  University of Southern California prior to his appointment at Florida State University.

 

   David Schwoebel is Minister of Music / Composer in Residence at Derbyshire Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. He is a graduate
   of McKendree College in Lebanon, IL and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX where he received a Bachelor
   of Arts in Voice and Organ Performance, and a Master of Church Music with an emphasis in Composition, respectively. Prior to
   beginning his ministry at Derbyshire in January 1997, he had served churches in his hometown of Belleville, IL, as well as
   Montgomery, AL and Atlanta, GA.
 
   As an ordained minister, David administrates and oversees a comprehensive music ministry of nine choral organizations, five hand bell
   choirs, an Orff ensemble, and a 28-piece orchestra and brass ensemble. His energetic, hands-on approach to ministry finds him
   working each week with people of all ages, encouraging and equipping them to discover and develop their varied musical talents and
   skills.

   The MICHELLE hymn tune included in the 1991 Baptist Hymnal is named after David's wife, Michelle. Together they have three    
   daughters, Brittany, Ashley and Courtney.
